Hi! I’m Ann Marie, and Welcome to Olives and Moss!
I decided to pick a unique name for what I consider my unique blog. I’m combining my love of genealogy with some posts about food, have some fun with random thoughts, and of course, share pictures of ships that pass through the C & D canal near where I presently live in Maryland.
When we moved here almost eleven years ago, my husband asked if I would be bored, and my answer was absolutely not. I told him that my ancestors would be up on the hills welcoming me home. Truer words were never spoken, as a lot of my ancestors were early settlers of the area.
It’s hard to fathom that I have been working on my family’s genealogy for about the last 40 years…sheesh, I’m not that old!
I am somewhat of a techy geek, really into the latest bright and shiny gadgets and most importantly a bleed green, die-hard Philadelphia EAGLES Fan! Go Birds!
I think it’s a little different from your everyday blog and I look forward to having fun with it!
