I did take a small break from working on my family history book before Christmas. I was stuck on what to get my husband for Christmas, and since we’ve previously scanned photos from his moms photo albums, I decided to make a photo book of the various family reunions that have been held since the 1980’s on her side of the family.
The book ended up being about 25 pages full of photos broken down by decade. The most recent reunion was held in June of 2025, so I had plenty of pictures to add.
The very first page contained pictures of my husband’s great grandparents, followed by a copy of a newspaper article when the family had their very first reunion in 1959.
The project turned out great and he mailed out copies of the book to some cousins and an aunt and uncle. He really enjoyed the gift and it was fun bringing the memories back to life!
